WordPress language packs and version checking
Stephen Edgar has written a post on checking the version of WordPress for translators. It’s a procedure that is set for being improved but for the time being translators need to be careful. https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2014/05/21/please-verify-the-wordpress-version-before-releasing-localized/ The make/polyglots blog is interesting reading; translating a software platform like WordPress is not a trivial thing.

Comments are now disabled on the User Manual
Since people keep posting rants and requests for support there, I’ve just turned the comments off. They were MEANT for non-editors to submit corrections and edits. I know this means people can’t easily report things that are wrong, but that’s okay. This was meant to be a temporary home anyway. We’ll just end up taking…
