What’s New in the New iOS Editor

What’s New

Well, everything is new! WordPress for iOS 8.0 was the first release with the new editor codenamed “Aztec” and with each new version we continue to add improvements and bug fixes.

Known Bugs

Following are known/reported bugs that are slated to be fixed in WordPress for iOS 9.5. Get the fixes early by joining the TestFlight program!

  • CSS Styling is not working properly, yet.

Features to Test

  • Mixed editing of posts using both Aztec and Calypso (WordPress.com web interface).
  • Editing posts with a hardware keyboard.
  • Indenting lists with a hardware keyboard, using Tab and SHIFT + Tab.
  • Using dictation and VoiceOver to edit posts.
  • Editing posts with the iPad and providing feedback on the experience.
  • Copying an existing post as a template for a new one, and providing feedback on the experience.

We care about bugs, but we also care as much about what could be made easier from a usability point of view. Even if it sounds like a minor tweak, we want to hear from you!
