Last week @afercia and @trishacupra did an a11y test on the new Customizer Theme Switcher. @celloexpressionstook together with @afercia takes care of the issues we found.
In our LinkedIn Group and on Slack we asked for new a11y testers on a weekly basis. About 25 people responded. They will get an e-mail every week with an accessibility test.
The group is large and diverse enough to divide them into:
- keyboard-only and colour testers
- screen reader users
- developers
Each can test different issues.
This week we will test:
- The new Press This plugin. For that we also need to install the latest patch with ticket #28873 because the Press This button in tools.php in not accessible with keyboard only.
- Missing label associations throughout network admin. For the developers, #30486
Plugin and patches are installed on the test server now, details are in the test e-mail.
Scheduled for testing after this: patches with the tickets #30685, #29958, #31143, and #31144. So if you want to work ahead…
