The training team has recently discussed a number of ways that contributor dayContributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. They are events where people get together to work on various areas of https://make.wordpress.org/ There are many teams that people can participate in, each with a different focus. https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/getting-started/getting-started-at-a-contributor-day/ volunteers can contribute to team training and in the process has started to review the content on the Getting Started page and in the blue box on the make.wordpress.org/training site. This has led to a general discussion with the aim of defining a list of tasks that volunteers can complete to contribute to the training team.
Initial ideas brainstormed at the August 18, 2015 meeting include:
- create lesson plans
- test lesson plans
- audit content for accuracy with the current version of WordPress
- proofreading
- stringing plans together for workshops
- fixing screenshots
- slide related tasks (eventually)
- adding time estimates to lessons
