Migration Updates
@ankitguptaindia is working on fixing ‘abandoned’ articles,
@juhise updated the team that there are 10-11 articles that are incomplete (not yet properly migrated). However they all have active migrators. She’s hoping to have all migrations complete before the next meeting.
@Kenshino reminded everyone about the auto generation of Table of Contents is handled via properly tagging the headers.
For Table of Contents to work, we’re gonna make it such that if you use TinyMCE’s heading – h1,h2,h3,h4 (don’t use h1 please), it will automatically transform it into <h2 id=”this_is_where_the_anchor_hooks_to”>
Some h-tags may have span tags nested within. Those should be removed. Migrators should check and update their own articles
Revision Notes have also been installed so use that to track what and why you have edited the article. This is especially useful if an article is edited by multiple people.
Design Updates
As none of our awesome designers were around, this has been postponed to next meeting.
Development Updates
@carlalberto has pushed the first version of Table of Contents into a feature branch on our Github repo
@atachibana has been asked to move his pull request (Codex other locale linking plugin) to a feature branch on our Github Repo
@justingreerbbi is working to improve his search plugin to properly make use of WP_Query
Project Discussions
@juhise and @ankitguptaindia has been tasked to fix our permalink issues.
Helphub’s Related Articles functionality will make use of Jetpack’s already pretty nifty function. @kraft will help sort out any issues surrounding that and will be making the connections once Helphub is on WordPress.org
@justingreerbbi has suggested making a launch list ( a list of items that need to be done to finish the launch/deployment ). It’ll be added on Github and all team members are encouraged to contribute to it
Search Suggestions: In cases that searching leaves the user with no search suggestions at all (possibly too unique), the search box should direct the user to the forums.
