In Americas Polyglots Meeting, participants agreed that creating a SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/ channel for coordination among themselves can benefit the Latin American polyglots community (during the meeting they agreed upon #polyglots-latam but #polyglots-es may be more appropriate after all).
When I brought up this request to #meta Slack channel, there were pro/con opinions about creating an additional channel for a smaller group of polyglots.

- This may trigger over-creation of language channels furthering the problem of fragmentation
Do you think this additional Slack channel will facilitate collaboration? Or do you think we are entering a dangerous territory where conversations are be siloed and not synced up?
Also, please add any points I missed to pick up.
