  3. Other lesson plan updates
    1. @juliekuehl may work on some theme lessons in preparation for WCSMP.
  4. Copyediting updates
    1. Last week we had 8 plans to copyedit, so we prioritized those that appear in the list of priority plans for Tier 1. The are several that we didn’t get to that we hope to cover this week.
  5. Contributor drive update
    1. Right now we have three groups who have expressed interest or added themselves to the Drive spreadsheet. @chanthaboune is reaching out to a few others who raised their hands at the beginning of the year – she is trying to get at least two more groups in this month so we can have the bulk tested and ready to go. It sort of looks like we will get parts of it tested this time around, but not the full tier 1 workshop.
  6. Discussion on what our next priority should be.
    1. First, celebrate! We created the first workshop! WOOOHOOO!!!!! GO TEAM! YAY US!
    2. @chanthaboune posted on the P2 asking for specific lesson ideas that should be included in our first Tier 2 workshop. We should base this, at least in part, off of the lesson plans we already have or have thought of.
    3. The general plan outlined at WCUS includes the following items as content ideas for Tier 2:
      1. Basic troubleshooting
      2. Intermediate troubleshooting
      3. Plugins & Themes: where to find them and what to do with them
      4. Modifying Code – child themes, customizing with css in jetpack (for simpler things that don’t need a whole new child theme, also bc it’s what is used on WC sites so they can contribute there), looking at plugin code
    4. We talked a bit about how there is a big jump between Tier 1 (very basic user knowledge) and Tier 2 (HTML and CSS knowledge assumed). Some folks thought that the tiers were intended to be isolated from each other and others thought that the tiers are eventually supposed to run together.
    5. We asked the question of “should we proceed vertically or horizontally” in terms of which set of lesson plans to do next, vertically being “finish all the user lessons regardless of level” and horizontally being “Get level 1s across all areas, then move to level 2s.” The general consensus was that horizontal makes the most sense to us.
    6. We decided that a good name for the eventual groups of workshops and lesson grouping suggestions is “Workshop Recipes.”
