Projects for WordPress.org are simply things that need to get done. In most cases, these are specific tasks that need to get completed and are larger in nature. Those projects will get planned out and designed (if needed) then sent on to development.
In other cases, there are many disparate “to do” items across a specific portion of the site that will get combined together into one “project”.
