So, upon review of published WordCamp guidelines as they stand and after talking to some organizers – Melbourne included – I think we need to make a producer logo amnesty for existing WordCamp videos. Since we didn’t actually publish the policy anywhere – I thought we had but I was dead wrong, bah – it’s just not workable to enforce this without giving people a head’s up – especially when it wasn’t caught for so many older videos.
I’m going to update plan.wordcamp.org to reflect where we want videos to be from now on, and let’s schedule Melbourne vids – and any others that we pulled because of producer logos – for publication.
If an issue comes up with sponsor logos, we’ll deal with those on a case-by-case basis. Usually I can fix that before it happens. Thank you @maharzan for re-editing your sponsor logos out of your videos, btw. 🙂
