Can we put a small discussion about the future of https://wordpress.org/support/forum/meetups on the agenda, or maybe even discuss and make a decision beforehand?
There have been plans to shut that forum down in favor of http://wordpress.meetup.com/ for months (actually, I think years) mostly because it keeps getting filled with threads like https://wordpress.org/support/topic/any-wordpress-meetings-in-sydney-australia
A forum is no longer an efficient way to find nor start a WordPress meetup.
All in favor of closing down https://wordpress.org/support/forum/meetups in favor of a sticky (replacing the current sticky) which directs folks to http://wordpress.meetup.com/ for finding meetups and https://make.wordpress.org/community/meetups for starting meetups?
