We’re opening the uploader to the public… BOOM!
We’re considering opening up the forward-facing uploader (similar to what WC organizers use) for anyone to contribute video content to WordPress.tv, including tutorials, WordPress meetupMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook. presentations, and other educational content. Wow. 🙂
For this merry band of moderators that kind of announcement means a lot of exciting changes, and will also require all of your help to pull off successfully.
Help us with submission standards
Here’s where you can help out. We need to create good guidelines for what can and can’t be published, and hopefully have a draft document pulled together by the time we meet next week.
I’ve started a new page for us to all work on, so please visit Public Video Submission Standards page, and think about the following things:
- What is there that needs to be changed?
- Anything missing that needs to be added?
- What should we be telling people we will (and will not) accept for submission?
