Documentation Update Sprint to bring pages to 5.5 /5.6 version

We still have quite a few pagess on the Block Editor documentation that are still on 5.0 – 5.4 version. Let’s do an update spring on November 25, 26 and 27, 2020. Please let me know in the comments if you’d like to participate.

This week is release week:

WordPress 5.6 Beta 3 is scheduled for November 2. You can get a preview of the upcoming version via the WordPress Beta Tester plugin
Gutenberg plugin RC 9.3 will also be published later today (Nov 2). Some commits will be backported to WordPresss 5.6
Gutenberg plugin 9.3 release is scheduled for November 4th.

Our reading list for this week:

HelpHub Feedback Section – new feature for contributors – We now have a feedback mechanism for our pages. You still need to turn it on by setting the document setting “Discussion” to “Allow Comments”. Props to @milana_cap and Corey McGill to push this over the finish line. Is there are volunteer who would like to write up the workflow for handling the feedback?
How to prepare for WordPress 5,.6 Release on the Block Editor End-User documentation – a Proposal – What do you think? Any ideas. Please review and comment on the doc.

Getting started as a new contributors.
The Google sheet also has an “Experienced Contributors” tab and gives us an overview of what people are editing and what is on our priority list.
The source of truth for our ongoing work is the Trello board with the columns “Need changes /New Pages” and “Work in Progress”.
The process is not finalized, but there is an outline pinned on the slack channel #meta-helphub
