Gutenberg update
- @shaunandrews is looking at showing block borders on hover while using Select mode
- @nrqsnchz has been exploring iterations to make the template menu more intuitive
- @nrqsnchz and I worked on updating the Full Site Editing end to end Figma prototype
- I proposed an iteration on template part insertion
- Implementation work has continued on the new navigation screen (in wp-admin)
- Work is in progress to create Navigation blocks from existing WP Menus
- There is a PR exploring a writing mode. Check it out.
- The W button work continues from @shaunandrews and
- @q, with the wp-admin sidebar concept
The Gutenberg team needs help with those PRs, please check them out and comment.
WCEU Contributor day tasks
Contributor day will take place on June 4th, from 13:00 to 18:00 UTC. We decided on the following agenda for Contributor day

Open Floor
@joyously brought up that the CSS meeting indicated they wanted to get more involved with design on a possible solution for admin color schemes using CSS variables.
@nrqsnchz, @ryelle and @joedolson started work on color schemes and dark high-contrast.
Several opinions were given, the team recommended that it was best to meet in the #core-css chat meeting to discuss naming convention with the CSS team. The meeting has been scheduled for Thursday June 11 at 9:00 pm UTC. Anyone interested on color naming convention is welcome to attend.
