Contributor Day at WordCamp US 2025 is happening on Tuesday, August 26, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR. Whether you’re a new translator or a seasoned locale manager, this is your chance to make a global impact by contributing to WordPress translations.
I plan to be at the Polyglots Table, helping facilitate activities and support contributors throughout the day and I’d love your help brainstorming how we can make this table welcoming, productive, and impactful.
🧠 Why This Brainstorm?
This is an open call to share your ideas ahead of Contributor Day so we can:
- Onboard new contributors smoothly
- Organize small group activities (e.g. glossary reviews, tool demos)
- Create a focused action plan for string validation and approval
- Highlight challenges and potential solutions in translation workflows
- Encourage cross-locale collaboration and mentorship
📌 What You Can Contribute
Please share your thoughts on:
- Topics you’d like to cover
- Common tools or resources we should introduce
- Suggestions to improve on-boarding
- Translation challenges you’d like group help with
- Fun ideas to energize the table
✨ Let’s Make It Meaningful
The energy at WordCamp US Contributor Day is unmatched, and your ideas can help shape an unforgettable Polyglots experience. Whether you’re attending in person or want to share ideas asynchronously, your input is incredibly valuable.
